Ereburger en stadsdichter van Dordrecht. Op het damiatebolwerk te Dordrecht is een van zijn bekendste dichtregels gegraveerd Wat blijft komt Nooit Terug. Koos Aarts is een graficus / schilder. Hij komt uit Hillegersberg en werkte van 1987 tot aan zijn dood in 1998 in Dodrecht. Aarts werkte voornamelijk abstract. Hij werkte vaker samen met Jan Eijkelboom.
