Description: Some peasants conversing in a small square beside a harbour. A dog is sitting on the left, a sitting woman rests her right arm on a basket, a man with a hat stands beside her, smoking a pipe. A younger woman stands in front of the couple. On the right a man, seen from the back, look out at sea, where some sails are visible. Beyond the peasants is a building with a board hanging on the side reading: HARING / ZOUTE VISCH.Unsigned drawing.[NL] Enkele boeren in gesprek op een pleintje naast een haven. Antieke tekening door anonieme meester. Drawing on paper, pen and brown ink, washed in gray, total: 283 x 231 mm; some traces of handling and light foxing; traces of previous mounting on verso; mounted on paper passepartout. In very good condition.
