The French first consul Bonaparte is honoured as a here and peacekeeper. This positive judgment was soon to be changed as the Northern part of The Netherlands was much bothered by the domination of France.WIth autograph of the secretaris of the Dutch Theatre in Amsterdam (Secretaris van de Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam).With ex libris by Ernst Lampe. Ernst was director of Modehuis Lampe Amsterdam and collector of antique and books. In Het vredesfeest (1802) bejubelt Fokke de Vrede van Amiens tussen Frankrijk en Groot-Brittannië, en met name de Franse Eerste Consul Bonaparte als held en vredestichter. Dit positieve oordeel over Napoleon zou al snel in het tegendeel omslaan, zeker toen de Noordelijke Nederlanden steeds meer onder gezag van Frankrijk kwamen te staan.
