Description: A comprehensive study (written by A. van Oirschot) on the history of 't Goude Hooft, published on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of its rebuilding at Groenmarkt 13 in The Hague. 't Goude Hooft was an inn for guests from outside the city, and a tavern for visitors to the markets. The tavern was rebuilt in 1660 by Pieter Post and provided with the two golden heads on the facade.Includes illustrations. Enclosed is a newspaper article from the Haagsche Courant dated Thursday, April 10th of 1986. On the title page are two stamps of former owners. On the following page a former owner's inscription.The Hague - Pieter Post - Dutch architecture - Groenmarkt - horeca - Den Haag - historical study - Haags Bound in paper, 24.3 x 15.9 cm. Signs of wear: some stains and rubbing on boards. Overall in good condition.
