These figures (of its actual members) were painted into the book over the period of almost three centuries. El Libro de la Cofradia constitutes the oldest equestrian roll of arms in Europe and is an important source regarding the evolution of costume.Contains a summary in multiple languages. Text in Spanish.With large ex libris of Daniel de Bruin with portrait of Antonie Abraham Vorsterman van Oyen (1845-1912) made by Pieter Wetselaar.Starting from his own collection, Vorsterman van Oijen founded the Genealogisch en Heraldisch Archief in The Hague, which evolved into the largest center of documentation in the Netherlands regarding heraldry and genealogy.
