Buste naar rechts van Ambrosius Blaurer. Onder het portret zijn naam en vier regels in het Latijn. Prent uit (deel 1 van) de serie portretten van beroemde hervormers. No text on the back, with text in ink on the right bottom corner. Paul Fagius was a Hebrew lecturer at the University of Cambridge and a priest in Isny im Allgäu. Professor of Old Testament studies at the University of Strasbourg, protestant reformer, scholar of Biblical Hebrew. Two engravings on laid paper. Blaurerus 200 x 150 mm. In good condition except for some folds on the lower corners. Fagius 185 x 145 mm. Small crease on the right bottom edge, some stains but further in good condition. Both engravings mounted on a bigger sheet of paper, total 220 x 340 mm. Verso text in letterpress.
