Description: Rural landscape at night. The moon shines in the sky, slightly to the left of the picture and its reflection illuminates a canal flowing among the fields. A peasant woman stands outside a barn, looking at the moon. Some animals are visible among the trees on the right. The drawing is signed on the bottom left of the picture, though not quite readable. Charming composition from the late nineteenth century. Drawing on thick paper, black chalk heightened in white; total: 172 x 304 mm; on the left and right margins are two framing blue lines; mounted in passepartout. In very good condition.
