Description: From a set of prints presenting birds, here are seven ducks portrayed singularly, not in a landscape. Unsigned.On verso collectors'marks: Unidentified mark (L. 1189a), Paul Davidsohn (1839-1924) (L. 654); a note in pencil on verso referring to the purchase of the etching by Davidsohn in 1856: 'K. Fr. Aug II.1856'. It may refer to a sale of the collection of King Frederick Augustus II, who died in 1854. The British Museum holds other prints from this collection.[NL] Uit een serie prenten met vogels zijn hier zeven eenden afzonderlijk afgebeeld, niet in een landschap. Ongesigneerd. Etching on laid paper, trimmed within plate mark; total: 138 x 210 mm; only state; on verso traces of former mounting; bottom right corner slightly damaged, where the mark is impressed on verso; Very nice impression.
