Description: Allegory of the end of the Twelve Years Truce.A coffin inscribed with Treves is carried by monks in a funeral procession. In the procession, mocking a Roman Catholic procession, there are also a bishop, pilgrims, beggars, etc. and a statue of Saint Nicholas. The procession runs in the direction of the monument to the Arminian Testament, to the right in the distance the Arminian Exodus, the departure of the exiled Remonstrant pastors. The characters are numbered. However, the legend is missing.Monogrammed on the bottom left corner: 'CJV ex.'. Etching on paper, trimmed close to plate mark; total: 176 x 363 mm; only state; top left corner damaged, rubbing at center and traces of folding on the right, traces of previous mounting on verso. Foolscap watermark. Despite some light foxing and a line in brown ink in the sky, In good condition. Hollstein 38, Van Stolk 1525, Muller 1449.
