Description: Title page of August Friedrich Ferdinand von Kotzebue's (1761-1819) Armoede en grootheid, tooneelspel.; as from the title itself, this title page is the third edition and the vignette decorating it was impressed from a very tired plate.The names of the artists are not readable anymore and the rays departing from the laurel wreath at the top center are completely invisible due to the flattening of the plate's printing surface. Etching, engraving and letterpress on paper; total: 164 x 103 mm; despite some minor creases and light dirt in good condition. Publishing date title page 1799.
