Description: Battle of Nieuwpoort, which took place on 2 July 1600. Two images above each other. Above, the Dutch army crossing the port of Nieuwpoort. Below, the two armies opposite each other. Left the Dutch army under Maurice of Nassau and right the Spanish army under Albert of Austria, clearly showing the formation of the battalions.In the centre, the title: 'Tabvla praelii prope Neoportvm commissi II Ivlii MDC'. With a legend lettered A-D. Copy after a print attributed to Floris Balthasarsz. van Berckenrode.Used in: Joan Blaeu, Toonneel der steden van de Vereenighde Nederlanden, Amsterdam, 1652.
