Description: Plate from the set of 105 etchings designed by Jacob Ernst Marcus and published monthly between November 1807 and July 1816. The plates consist in portraits and/or genre scenes. The prints that are signed and dated are later states. In 1834 the whole series was reprinted.On the right a woman with a basket sitting on the grass. Figures of men, as profiles or seen from the back. Signed in stipple engraving on the bottom right: J.E. Marcus f. November 1808. Number 13 from the set. On verso, in pen and brown ink is a monogram: WE (not in Lugt). Etching on paper with margins. Hand colored.
