Description: Complete set of four river landscapes, portraying scenes of daily life along the Rhine.Second states.First plate signed on bottom: HS invent: (HS intertwined) J.Almeloveen fec..The first two plates are numbered, the other two are cut within plate mark.Fourth plate is pasted down on cardboard.The first two plates belonged to Gustav von Franck (1807-1860) [L.1152] and, along with the third, to Frederick Carel Theodoor van Isendoorn à Blois (1784-1865) [L.2610]. Marks are on the verso.[NL] Vier rijnlandschappen: Rivierlandschap met schuit, Riviergezicht met man die een boot kalefatert, Riviergezicht met man die vracht op een boot laadt, Riviergezicht met mannen die vaten op een zeilschip laden. Etching on paper, trimmed within plate, total: 141 x 155 mm. State II/2; Hollstein 17-20. The first plate in particular is browning and the last plate is rather tired; otherwise in outstanding condition. Published around 1662-1683.
