Description: Two small sketches representing a young woman in profile. On the first sheet, she is portrayed in half-length, beside a table on which a book is opened on a pedestal (lessenaar). On the second drawing, the same woman is portrayed in full, in profile, seated on a chair, holding a book in her hand. On this same sheet, towards the left bottom, some samples lines drawn with different media.From the collection of Pim van Eekelen (Amsterdam 1923-1984), mark on the verso (L.5101).According to clothes and style of the drawings, both works should date from the first half of the nineteenth century.[NL] Twee kleine schetsen die een jonge vrouw in profiel voorstellen. Drawing on paper in pencil; total: 121 x 134 mm, 228 x 187 mm; both drawings in very good condition, despite some smudges caused by the chosen medium.
