Description: Artist's proof of an intense etching, representing the tower of Amersfoort and the little houses of the village surrounding the towering building. The tone of the paper is slightly yellowing.Monogrammed on the bottom right: 'W.O.J.N.'. On the lower margin in pencil some annotations concerning the literature and, again, the maker: 'E 86' (Hubert), 'Toren van Amersfoort' and on the right: 'Epreuve d'artiste / W.O.J. Nieuwenkamp'. Etching on Japanese paper, proof; plate mark: 393 x 333 mm, total: 410 x 355 mm. Extremely beautiful impression in brownish tones.
