Description: View on the Spaarne, which flows by Haarlem. In the middle of the composition the Amsterdamsche Poort with its characteristic wooden bridge and high towers. Numbered on the bottom right, beside the standing figures: '18'. Beautiful composition. Etching on paper trimmed close to plate mark; total: 123 x 192 mm, state I/3; bottom right corner weak, on verso traces of previous mountings, small stain in the sky; Hollstein 277, Fr. 316.
