The right hand reaches out in the direction of an opened window. Outside the window a river landscape with a rainbow in the distance.First state before the text; later states used as image in Martinet's: 'Katechismus der Natuur', published in Amsterdam in 1778 by Johannes Allart.Unknown collector's mark on the bottom left corner.
