[14] 1-234 [12] pp. Illustrated with full-page erotic prints by Brunelleschi; vol. 1: 16 coloured photogravures and 35 drawings in black. Vol. 2: 16 coloured photogravures and 42 drawings in black. The Italian illustrator and costume designer Umberto Brunelleschi (1879-1949) became very popular in early twentieth century Paris. His artwork was mainly drawn in the style of his contemporary Kay Nielsen (1886-1957), but for this erotic version of the tales of La Fontaine Brunelleschi chose a softer, baroque like style. B2315
