Tromp (1598-1653) in an oval made with a double wreath of laurel and palm leaves ending on the top with two trumpets.The wreats are created from two cannons placed on the opposite sides of a cartouche reading:'Martinus Trompius H.F. / Hollandiæ et Occidentalis / Frisiæ Rerum Maritimarum / Vicepræfectus'.On the four corners cannon balls. The cartouche rests on two big sea shells and coral branches.Signed on the bottom:'H. Pot Pinxit I. Suyderhoef Sculp.' Before 1686.[NL] Portret van Maarten Harpertszoon Tromp, luitenant-admiraal van Holland en West-Friesland, in een decoratieve omlijsting van lauwertakken, kanonnen en kanonskogels.
