Three title pages with printer’s mark of Plantijn. In the third part, the pages 97 to 230 are missing. Collected works of Publius Ovidius Naso (43 BC – 17 AC), one of the best Latin poets from the Golden Age of August. The binder has left out the quires 2G to 2O from the third part – no doubt on instructions of the owner of the book – and thus has left out all erotic poetry that Ovid wrote: 'Amores,’ Ars amatoria’ and ‘Remedia amoris.’ This last poem has maintained its last page in this edition, because on the reverse side of this poem begins the poem ‘Medicamina faciei femineae.’ However, the text of ‘Remedia amores’ that has been printed, is carefully made unreadable with pen.
