Author: Wagner, Otto Title: Einige Skizzen, Projekte und ausgeführte Bauwerke. Band IV.
Description: Wien: Kunstverlag Anton Schroll, 1922 (1st. ed.); elephant folio (40 cm), 87 pages of which 31 printed one-sidedly, mostly on heavy paper, some of which heliographs, 32 in-text bl-wh drawings, 12 full-page maps, 14 bl-wh photographs, 17 soft-tone multicolour prints, 2 tables. Rebound in style with original spine title mounted, front cover moisture stains. Very rare. ¶ The external impression of this volume is somewhat shabby because of the moisture stains and the back cover showing wear; internally very good preserved, notwithstanding incidental minor foxing (not touching the important illustrations. This volume 4 (of 4) has been published after Otto Wagner's death; the other s were published in 1887, 1889 and 1907. Wagner has been the most important Austrian architect of the 19th century and was the main stimulator of the so-called Wiener Secession, which transformed the face of the city. Apart from the imperfections of the exterior this is a very good and tight copy.
