Although pp. 1-2 are missing, otherwise a v. good copy of this very rare book. Dedication copy without signature. ¶ Of this book in its original edition (Frakturschrift, 1819), no copies could be traced in the Deutsche Nationalbibliothek or the Koninklijke Bibliotheek, nor anywhere in the antiquarian databases worldwide. There are, however, copies of the 2003 reprint of the Upstalboom-Gesellschaft für historische Personenforschung und Bevölkerungsgeschichte in Ostfriesland available in some public libraries. Our copy of the original publication, though incomplete (pp. 1-2 are missing) and ex-library, bears a very interesting dedication by the author himself: Souvenir d'estime et de reconnoissa[...] devoué à Monsieur [erased], digne ancien de l'Église Wallonne de Groningue, par l'auteur. The Dutch-Hugenot origin is nicely illustrated by the text surrounding the title page 'Schepken Christy'-vignette: 'Godts Kerck vervolgt verdreven heft Godt Hyr Trost gegeven.'
