This volume not only presents a 'group' theory of human evolution, but introduces "the demarcation of mankind into its [five] major divisions or varieties, the role played by 'race' in evolution and the rise of nations." (p.vii). A rather dated text, but interesting to political scientists, in particular International Relations specialists.
