Very good set (p.215-18 vol. 1 loose from or. staples). ¶ part of the famous German encyclopeadic 'Allgemeine Naturkunde' series (w. a.o. Brehm's 'Tierleben'), but as a set to be used independently from the other parts. Vol I: 'Entwicklung, Bau und Leben des menschlichen Körpers', vol. II: 'Die heutigen und die vorgeschichtlichen Menschenrassen'. The full-page colour plates are particularly attractive (sometimes sold individually, cut out the volumes), but in its encyclopeadic textual thoroughness still monuments of science and knowledge.
