Rare in this edition. ¶ It is said that next to the Bible Thomas a Kempis' book is world's most read printed matter: more than 3000 different editions exist, of which 1000 in the British Museum. There would be 545 editions in Latin and some 900 different editions in French. (Wikipedia paraphrased.) This Latin edition by Franciscus Foppens was published 'sub signo S. Spiritus', the printer's mark on the title page.
