Dufour and Dyonnet, dated 1836; seven engraved portraits "hors texte" on stiff special paper with tissue-guards: Bernardin de Saint-Pierre par Lafitte; Margerite par Johannot; Madame de la Tour par Johannot; Virginie par Johannot; Paul par Johannot; Le docteur par Meisonnier; La jeune Bramine par Johannot; seventeen full-page engravings and numerous illustrations in the tex. The pages 303-330 content "La flore' and complete the work. Signed binding by L. Curmer a bit discoloured; the silk endpapers somewhat damaged; the beginning and the end and the margins troughout the book, especially the upper side, stained; otherwise good copy.
