Description: Amsterdam, David Mortier, 1719. (Facsimile edition Editoriale S.p.A., Roma, 1959). Original gilt half calf with red morocco letter-piece, (8), (2), 103+9pp. Ca. 27 x 19 cm. Two titlepages in red and black; 27 plates (some double-page) and many textillustrations; numbered edition; this is 220/2000. This fine facsimile is not printed in offset, but taken from plates in zincography, coming the original tone very near and made on special paper; a classic on shipbuilding. Top of spine a little "bumped"; otherwise a very good copy.
