An example of the "jest book" genre popular during the Spanish Renaissance, it was first published in 1574. It consists of a collection of jokes, anecdotes, witty answers and amusing sayings pertaining to ecclesiastics, nobles, justice officials, artists, lovers, cripples, women and invalids, which the author probably compiled from a variety of sources. The work was continued in the 18th century by Francisco Asensio. Very Good.
