Description: Manchester, W. D. Varey, 1828, two parts, Rochdale and Saddleworth, each with tile page and frontispiece of the respective parish churches. Contemporary half calf with marbled boards, very expertly re-backed. Covers a bit dull and rubbed, name inside, some staining mainly to the endpapers, but very sound condition. Bound at the back is Tabula Mancuniensis a rare 16 page pamphlet by Butterworth published in 1829 listing chronological events in the history of Manchester.
