First edition published in 1704 the work has by now [1784] grown into two hefty volumes. Mr. M who revised and updated this edition date is as yet not identified. Ricard's manual was always heavily used and good copies are quite rare. Contemporary full calf, with title- volume number piece. Spine of Vol/1 split, hinges weak. Many editions of this indispensible classic text are extensively described by Einaudi from 4735 and Kress. 412 etc.. Good.
