This edition is "dedicated to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by her dutiful and devoted servants of the Nonesuch Press in the year of her Coronation MCMLIII", and printed and bound on india papers by William Clowes and Son at Beccles. The card slip case is notably shelfworn, with creasing and wear to all areas and marked color loss.Small split to case at RHS foot. The four volumes are in fine condition, with brown cloth spines, complementary marbled boards, with a gilt line to spine hinge point separating marbled boards from cloth spine. Pageblocks a complementary hue; volume four being a different pattern. Light wear to these; minor blemishes noted to the pageblock faces of 'Histories' and 'Tragedies'. Within, slight and occasional creases and blemishes are noted, however, pages are tightly bound, and content is overwhelmingly unmarked. CN. Very Good/Acceptable.
