General shelf and handling wear, including light wear to boards, edges and bumped corners. Page block tanned and lightly foxed, with light foxing to initial pages. Rear endpapers and pastedown are covered in John Steane's pencilled notes, along with occasional marginalia throughout. Pages are tightly bound, and other than the marginalia mentioned, unmarked. CN.
