First edition hardcovers with decorated boards, no dust jackets, in very good condition for their age. Pencilled name to FEP of R.C. Trevelyan, the poet brother of historian G.M. Trevelyan, and discreet 'Birkbeck Library College' embossed stamp noted. From the collection of the late Professor Malcolm Deas, an English historian who specialised in the study of Latin America, whose pencil marginalia remains extant. Boards are a little scuffed. Edges, corners and spine ends are bumped and rubbed. Page blocks are lightly tanned, blemished and foxed. Light spots of foxing noted on a few of the pages, which are otherwise clear, and bindings are sound. LW. Very Good/No Dust Jacket.
