Description: Josuae Barnesii. 1778. leather. Used, Hardcover, complete 3-volume set, fully bound in brown leather with gilt decorations and black title pieces to spines, and page block dyed red. Text in Latin and Ancient Greek. 701, 564, 1090pp respectively. Extremely rare and rather old, these books are in good condition for their age. Leather is scuffed and scored on the front and rear boards, spine strips are chipped and flaky in places, board edges and corners are rubbed and worn. Bindings of volumes I&III are a little loose and part of the title piece of volume II has come away completely. Undated gift inscription penned to FEP of volume I, all other pages are free from any extraneous markings. Toning to page edges and foxing to internal pages. One or two pages are creased at their corners. Text remains clear and bright. AD. Good.
