An exquisite and delicate book containing a long poem about Ganymede adorned with six original expressionic woodcuts by 'Ploeg' artist Dijkstra (five in the book and one different on the cover). It was published when its author, schoolmaster Willem Keuning, was in jail for immoral acts with an adolescent boy: the signing was done in prison, too. Keuning lost his teaching job. However, it didn't have an adverse effect on his poetical career. A fine expressionistic book production, an icon for gay history.
