Delicate backstrip worn, some browning from the glue in the binding. Inscribed by Kenneth Clarke (probably not the politician) to Dutch historian and Pembroke College fellow Dr. George Puchinger "to remember Oxford/ and Fyfield Manor", May 6, 1981. Most attractive Rubaiyat edition made by students of the Birmingham School of Printing bound in gold paper with a ligne claire decoration, lettering in red and very fine book illustrations in blue. Rare.
