The second volume (Kosmos) is black fabric casebound book with gilt lettering on the spine and front cover, and glitters like it has stars. Its end pages are illustated, and there is a red fabric bookmark. Pages: Physikalischer Atlas, (4), v-xi, (2), 2-175, (3); Kosmos, (4), v-xxxi, (1), 1-941, (3). Physikalischer Atlas is profusely illustrated with majority color images. Kosmos has one tipped-in color plate.
