For their first exhibition at the Galerie Daniel Templon, the duo Pierre et Gilles unveils a new set of works devoted to the theme of 'Heroes'. The exhibition brings together a gallery of portraits, from mythological figures from Antiquity such as Achilles or Prometheus, to superheroes from popular culture and fiction, and more contemporary heroes such as a young insurgent from the Arab Spring or a happy couple 'married for all' taking on the features of the artists. These hand-painted photographs, unique works, offer an original reinterpretation of the tradition of portraiture.
