Title: Tord Boontje
Description: New York, Rizzoli, 2006. Hardcover. Boards with a color design and a swatch of lace pasted over the design. The spine is black with the title printed in white lettering. The book opens to lay flat. Pages: (20), 21-269, (3). Profusely illustrated with many color images; there are also stamped designs on the margins of several of the pages. "This is a document of my work going back ten years. It has been an amzing journey that started by taping blankets to chairs made from sticks and cutting up old wine bottles. The journey has now led me to a place of mass production and television commercials. Along the way I have met many supportive people who took the risk of traveling with me. I like working in collections, experimenting with new thoughts, and seeking change and development, which is a main driving force behind my work. I believe that if we see design as a way of shaping the future of our world, it should be as exciting and thrilling as a great film or book. At the same time, it should communicate not only who we are, but also how we would ideally like our world to be. -Tord Boontje. G: Exlibrary book. Sticker on the base of the spine. Sticker and due date card on the back pasted end page. Some of the front board has separated from the pages, but this does not affect the binding (all pages are bound well and the cover remains sturdy).
