There is a cream dust jacket, with the title printed in blue down the spine. Pages: (6), v-vi, i-xlvi, 1-615, (5), 5-30. Profusely illustrated with black-and-white images. "Covers Civil War tokens, with a listing of over 8,400 different pieces. These little coins filled the wants of the tradespeople, and were accepted as a means of exchange for the value, which was usually one cent. Includes photos of merchants and dies, reverse die proofs, and die conversion tables. Also includes a catalog of unlisted Civil War storecards in the collection of the American Numismatic Society. VG+/G: The book has clean pages and tight binding. The dust jacket is torn in the corners of the spine and the back cover. There is a small tear at the bottom of the front cover. No text or images are affected.
