This magnificent artist gained great recognition in Germany in the 1970s and 1980s and her success was reflected by the large number of works that were acquired by public institutions and collectors in that country. Much of what is depicted in these paintings consists of objects and corners of the successive studios and homes that Isabel and her husband Francisco Lopez, also an artist, had in the capital, as well as urban views of Madrid and the region's landscapes.
