Description: Leipzig, bei Voss und Compagnie, 1793. Hardcover. Grey boards with mounted brown title card with debossed lettering; [379] pp.; richly illustrated (see comments). Text in German. This volume may have been missprinted as "Vierter [Fourth] Band," as former owner seemed to believe it was actually volume 5, indicated by the repeated corrections in pencil at the ffep and title page. Six fabric swatch pages in this volume. One has a single swatch left on the page. One has no swatches remaining. Four folded plates, three of which are in color. Seven non-folded plates, six of which are in color. Poor (Boards are very heavily worn/scuffed/smudged/bumped; textblock edges are toned/scuffed/smudged; interior is clean, with toning and occasional smudging/foxing, as expected with age; some swatch pages are missing swatches -- see comments; one swatch page is detached;one page has a large chip at the margin, which does not interfere with the text; textblock is beginning to crack at the rear.) .
