Plate 43 through closing plates will have oval-like dampstaining/foxing blotches to tissue guard & plate edge. Some tissue guards of closing plates will have dark, scattered like speckles of staining; this does not appear to translate to plates, though there may be a few instances. Plates have been counted and inspected and appear to be a full set. Appears to be a fairly lightly handled set, but one that has long been in storage. Good- (cloth scuffed & worn; edge-worn. lower spine edge cloth torn, rubbed & peeling. upper spine edge torn & cracked w/ board rattled; entire cloth of spine edge nearly worn. rubbing to corners rubbing, tear & peeling to side panel corners. board edges becoming detached at corners; original nails remain intact. intro packet smudged with instances of scattered foxing. plate tissue-guards have darker blotched foxing. plates will have lighter, more speckled foxing with instances of darker spotted foxing, remain fairly bright; instances of smudging. ) .
