Title in red and black, with hand-colored Riverside Press device containing initials "br"; text printed from batarde type, opening initial gilt, others in blue, chapter headings and page numbers in red; side notes printed in ochre from civilité type. Illustrated with headpiece vignette and 5 roundels, all hand-colored, based on stained glass windows in Chartres Cathedral. One of the highpoints of American printing of the period. VG (binding is tight, pages are very clean and clear, small 1.5 inch tear to rear colophon page, light soiling to covers, mounted inside front cover is a small 2' x 1' bookplate for L.W. Drummond) .
