Plates have edge-wear, rubbing to corners; occasional smudge or spot of foxing. Volume two has cracking to opening textblock, but, pages and remaining textblock remain firm. Only first nineteen pages of volume two remain cut, remaining pages unopened. Volume three has many unopened pages. Volume three is a continuation of pages from volume two. Both volume two and volume three are titled, 'Le Sutra Des Causes Et Des Effets, Tome Second, Transcripition, Traduction, Commentaire Et Index' with volume three a 'Deuxieme Fascicule' and printed in 1928. Volumes one and two were printed in 1920 and 1926. Original sales receipts of the publisher are included. Receipts are from Paul Geuthner with purple handwriting and possible signature of Mr. Geuthner. Sales receipts are addressed to Harvard University's Fogg Art Museum. Volumes two and three have previous owners name of Edward W. Forbes, April 1927; Forbes was the director of Harvard's Fogg Art Museum from 1909 to 1944. A scarce set that continues Pelliot and Geuthner's series of 'Mission Pelliot.'. Good+ (boards of all volumes tanned & scuffed; volume 3 has large dampstain area to lower edge, does not affect interior pgs; all have edge-wear & rubbing to corners. volume 2 has a 2-inch split to lower hinge paper & 4-inch to back hinge. volume 1 portfolio has splitting to interior of spine; spine of porfolio darkned w/ title plate chipped & nearly eroded.) .
