Front endpaper has a hand written note, "This Book Was Given To Lloyd And Whitney Warren Architects In New York By Henri Guillaume Architect In Paris, Son Of The Author, In 1904. Given As A (illegible) Of Affection And In Remembrance Of The Author For Whose Talent And (illegible) both L. and W. Had A Sincere Admiration." Title page has embossed stamped ex-libris of "Lloyd & Whitney Warren New York." A scarce edition and a fascinating piece of architectural history. Good (scuffed & scratched; discolored spotting to lower edge w/ large area to back board. 7 inch area of spine cloth missing, portion of spine eroded w/ plate chipped & torn. lower edge of front endpapers torn; papers have moisture ripple w/ darker stain residue to lower edge. all pages & plates of coffee-like stain ring to upper edge, does not mar text or illustrations.) .
