Volume one has dampstaining to pgs 185 to closing plates; upper edges of pages are deteriorated, mottled, stained and foxed, with damage reaching top of illustrations. Dampstaining to volume one reaches cover pastedowns and endpapers. Volume two has dampstaining to cloth edges; dampstaining and rippling to pastedowns to endpapers; pages 155-through plates have rippling to upper edges. Volume three spine edge is split and flapped with clear tape repair and entire spine visible. Volumes have been inspected and appear to have clean pages, but, may have instances of marginalia, notations, etc. Good- (ex-library w/ ID to lower spine, stamps to textblock, internal stamps, usual markings etc. all volumes have scuffs & staining to cloth; rubbed edge wear; rubbed corners w/ fraying cloth. tears to edges & spine ends. spines rubbed, sunned and frayed. pgs have light tanning to edges.) .
