[4], 531 pp. No illustrations. Only the slightest wear, but some discoloration / tiny spotting along the spine possibly from light exposure. A very clean, very tight, very fresh copy of a book which is reported in one old booksellers catalogue to have been printed in an edition of appx. 50 copies, which were only for distribution to family members. The first 38 pages cover the Mexican war, and the remaining nearly-500 pages of narrative is about the War of Rebellion (Civil War) in the US. VG, clean and tight wrappers lacking and mouse has nibble top right corner of text block as seen in pictures.
