Description: London, Printed for the Subscribers, 1884. Leather bound. Crushed red leather bind, 5-ridge spine, gilt lettering and tooling. Rough edge pages with gilt top edge; illustrations (some color). These are being sold for aesthetic appeal. They would make a wonderful book corner or shelf. The whole lot would cover 14" of shelf, 9" high, 6" deep. The content is quite nice and would go for much more if a complete set - but alas this is a mis-matched set. Titles as follows: "The Thousand Nights and One Night" Vol. I, II, VI and VII; "Tales from the Arabic" - Vol. II. III; "Aladdin and the Enchanted Lamp"; "Persian Letters". Lacks one of the 9 stated volumes. If interested in more aesthetic lots just search "books by the foot-aesethetic. G/VG, bindings are exquiste, very slight wear to ridges and edges. Pages have some damp staining in places but does not affect plates or text. All plates in good condition.
