Red paper over boards with tan title block and black lettering on front cover, tan cloth spine with gilt lettering, color frontispiece tipped-in, 8 pp, 2 color plates tipped-in (including frontispiece). Limited edition of 200 copies. "Mayer Karl Von Rothschild of Frankfurt, grandson of the 'first' rothschild, acquired from an unknown sourch two gold enamelled cups which were made n England by Frances Nelme. When he died, in 1886, his collection of objets d'art was divded between his five daughters. One of the two cups passed to his daughter, Adele, who bequeathed it to the Musee de Cluny in Paris. The second cut, which is the subject of this article known as the Nelme Cup, passed to another daughter, Emma, who married the first Lord Rothschild." -page 1.
